Coach Alisha Brown


Coach Alisha Brown is a 2022 graduate of Hastings High School. While in high school, she competed in soccer, wrestling, and lacrosse. During her senior year of high school, she tried wrestling for the first time in her life and ended the season with a 3rd place finish at the inaugural Girls State Wrestling Tournament. Alisha is entering her third season of coaching and wanted to come back to Hastings High School because of her love of the sport of wrestling. Her favorite thing about Hastings wrestling is the environment. The one thing she is most excited for in the future of Hastings wrestling is to deepen relationships, make a difference in peoples lives, and be of some to help others. Finally, Alisha added, "I want to help create an environment where when the girls are at practice, they feel safe, have fun, and want to improve themselves and their ability. :) "

Coach Paul Vaith

  Coach Paul Vaith hails from Blooming Prairie, MN. In high school, he was a 4-year letter winner, 4-time All-Conference, and a MN State Qualifier. After high school, he attended and wrestled for  St. Thomas University, but was sidelined with knee injuries. This is where Coach Vaith’s coaching career began, spending 7 years at St. Thomas, 1 year at Bloomington Lincoln HS, and now 38 years at Hastings HS. During his time as head coach, Mr. Vaith recorded 412 dual meet victories! Coach Vaith’s favorite part of Hastings wrestling is working with our young men and women. Coach Isaac Eichmann

Coach Isaac Eichmann is a 2012 Hastings High School graduate. In high school, he was All-Conference 4 times and All-State 2 times, taking 2nd both time.  He was also a team captain during his senior year and lead the team to a 4th place. After high school, he wrestled for RCTC but had to cut his time short due to injuries. Coach Isaac has been coaching for 8 years total. Three of those years were coaching youth and Freestyle/Greco with Lake City, three years doing Freestyle/Greco in Byron, and is entering his second year with Hastings High School. Isaac said he wanted to coach in Hastings because, "I was raised in the Hastings wrestling community and I have always wanted to give back everything that I can." Coach Angie McLay

  Coach Angie McLay is a 1997 Hastings HS graduate. While she never officially wrestled, she has been wrestling her brother Josh McLay most of her life and winning most of their childhood matches. This is Coach Angie's first year coaching at HHS and she wanted to coach in order to help the growth of young ladies in wrestling and the sport of women’s wrestling.  Her favorite thing about Hastings wrestling is being  in a program that helps change the path of children’s lives. Coach Angie's favorite moment of Hastings wrestling has been watching the young men and women overcome obstacles to obtain their goals. Also upsetting STMA at the high school tournament last year.  She is most excited to see the  growth and development of women’s wrestling. Coach Angie has 3 boys Paul 25, Lynden 22, Mac 22.
