Coach Luke Rowh

Image
Luke Rowh is a 2014 graduate from Hastings High School. During his time at Hastings, he was a 4-time place winner taking 5th, 5th, 3rd, and 2nd. Luke was also a two-time captain of the wrestling team. After high school, Luke attended and wrestled for the University of Wisconsin. Luke is entering his fourth year coaching at Hastings. He wanted to come back to Hastings and be apart of the community that helped him develop into the person he is today. He also wants to help others out, the way that his teammates helped him out during high school. Luke’s favorite thing about coaching at Hastings is the sense of family. Luke said, "The Hastings wrestling community is like family members. Many of my best friends were on my high school team, and many people and coaches I looked up to always came back to help the program. Hastings has a tradition of community that is unlike any other program here." Some of his favorite moments from coaching have been winning multiple section titles.

Coach Alex Daiz

Alex Diaz is originally from Eagan, MN where he was a two-time state entrant and took 4th during his senior year of high school. He accumulated 94 career wins for Eagan and was also a two-time Fargo team member. Alex coached for two years at Eagan, HS, one year at Mankato West, and is entering his second year at Hastings HS. Alex wanted to coach at Hastings because he was new to the community and wanted to contribute to the already rich history of Hastings Wrestling. He loves the town culture around the team and seeing our athletes achieve their goals. One of Alex’s favorite moments so far at Hastings has been a ccidentally stealing a Simley wrestler's clothes at my first tournament because he couldn't tell the difference between Spartan and Raider blue. He is excited for his fourth year of working with the coaches and reaching new goals with the big guys. Alex has been married to his wife Kelli for years and has one little son named Xavy and a daughter named Mady. (Coach A
